Coalition Helping America Rebuild and Go Electric - CHARGE - is made up of transportation, industry, environmental, labor, health, equity, and civic organizations that support smart policy to electrify America’s transportation system. Together, we support a set of principles for Congress and the administration to ensure we implement smart zero-emission transportation policies and investments.

Looking at these funds through the CHARGE Coalition’s principles reveals the need to ensure all investments work together to deliver fast benefits to communities suffering the most from high fuel prices and pollution. Public Transit
Strengthening and growing public transit throughout the COVID-19 recovery and beyond while rapidly transitioning to electric fleets is critical to ensuring zero-emission mobility for all.
Charging Infrastructure
Strategically accelerating the building of charging infrastructure for all types of vehicles in all communities with more and diverse incentives and funding will support job growth and lift barriers to zero-emission vehicle access and ownership.
Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles
Accelerating the transition to zero-emission trucks with increased incentives and infrastructure are important as we ensure that the benefits of new, electric medium- and heavy-duty vehicles are felt first in the frontline communities that are impacted most by harmful diesel pollution.
